I’ve always loved angels. From the time I was a small child, I felt the presence of Spiritual beings guiding and protecting me. When I was two years old, I picked up a pencil and did my first drawing. From that early age, I was very aware of my artistic gift. As I grew older, I felt what many people would describe as a vocation, or call of God on my life – although I wasn’t quite sure, at the time, how that would manifest. As I’ve grown in maturity and wisdom, that call has become increasingly clear.

I create angel portraits not only to inspire people to the memory of their spiritual origins, but because angels, by their very nature, are servants. By painting angels, I hope to inspire in myself and in others that same sense of selfless service.

In today’s hectic and often disorienting world, it is all too easy to forget Jesus’ teachings that we are to love one another, feed the hungry, care for the sick, turn the other cheek ... let our Lights shine for all to see. 

 
   
 

Through the images of these Spiritual beings, I hope to provide a respite from the world – a time during which you may be blanketed by the peace, renewal of hope and inspiration toward service that comes from contemplating not just the Angels that guide and help us, but also the Angel within.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Angels walk among you unaware?”  Well they do.  I believe that we are all Angels.

Leigh Anne was born in Houston, Texas.  She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for two years, graduating from Loyola University and returned to Houston in 1998.  She currently still resides in Houston, Texas.  She is inspired to create angel portraits and Art with Heart as a reminder that there is a magnificent angel of Love and Light within each of us.  Practicing Love in everything we do brings that angel forward.  Leigh Anne wants to remind everyone that no matter who we are, all of us have the potential to touch lives and be angels for each other.
