Last year, I met a very special young lady and Angel Among Us named Katie Foley, who also happens to be a gifted angel artist and a remarkable poet. It is my great pleasure to get to introduce you to Katie and to share her poetry and art with you. ~LAM |

Hi! My name is Katelyn Foley, but my friends and family call me Katie. I live on the Planet Earth. I am going into the third grade. I was born on August 15Th 1996. I am nine years old and I live in Massachusetts. I’m 4 feet and 3 inches tall. I’m 53 pounds and I have size 3 shoes. My 5 best friends are named Katherine, Christina, Alexandra, Holly and Maddie. My favorite colors are purple, and robin egg blue. I like to make goofy faces. I have a new baby sister named Kendra. My favorite subject in school is art. I like to draw because it’s fun and you get to express what you feel inside of you. I try to draw things that look real, and I end up doing a good job. One of my favorite things to draw are angels, because after I can add a really pretty background. I also like to write poetry because it’s fun, and it feels like you’re riding a tidal wave – because you don’t have to keep it on “one specific idea”, you can just “ride away”! I have a favorite poem, called “Obedient”, it is by Shel Silverstein, and I memorized it. I hope someone memorizes my poems someday and hopefully that will encourage them to become their own poet! My favorite poem I ever wrote was “Open Up the Window” because I like how the tone went. I hope that you enjoy my drawings and poems, like I enjoyed drawing and writing them. |

“God” (written May 2004) God loves everyone, Everyone the same. God loves everyone, No reason to have shame.
“Open Up the Window” (written 7/12/04) Open up the window, let the sound come in. Open up the door, let the dog come in. Open up the box, let the past go in. Open up everything, now you’re in heaven. |
